I had the pleasure of attending the Tactful Yet Tough Email Writing workshop during a Lunchtime Learning series, and it was an incredibly valuable experience. Tanya led the session with both expertise and approachability, making it practical and immediately applicable to my day-to-day work. What stood out most was Tanya’s practical approach to using ChatGPT as a tool to help us work smarter—not harder. She positioned AI not as a replacement for our voice, but as a digital brainstorming partner—a way to enhance clarity, professionalism, and tone in those trickier emails. The examples she shared demonstrated how specific, intentional prompts can lead to results that are aligned with our individual tone and context. This was especially helpful in understanding how to preserve authenticity while still benefiting from AI’s support . Overall, this workshop left me feeling more confident in using ChatGPT to tackle difficult emails with a balance of tact and clarity, all while maintaining my own voice.
